Took advantage of a brief spell of sunny (yet cold) weather to take Nishi out for a drive.

Ugh, I want an MR-S more and more each day.

What’s keeping you from getting one?

I see exhaust pipes on either side of the license plate.
On he other hand, it would look like a discount Carrera GT then

I would fight 10-20 people to own an MR-S.

Space, financial responsibility, and practicality.
I currently street park my FR-S in a pretty dense suburb of Chicago, so having a 2nd car isn’t easy.
I can also really only justify one sports car at a time right now. haha
I could get rid of the FR-S and just get an MR-S, but then I’ve got the issue of practicality. The FR-S pretty much just meets my minimum requirements for that factor, since I do a lot of road trips, and my car is often loaded with everything from mountain bikes to luggage to wheels/tires for autocross and track days. So if I were to own an MR-S it’d like be as a 2nd fun car, with something like a 4Runner as my daily driver. Which again puts us back to the two cars without a garage or even driveway problem.
Once I’ve got a place with a garage, there’s a good chance the FR-S might go in favor of a 4Runner and a dedicated autox/track car, MR-S or Miata most likely. Depending on how long that is, as in 2 1/2 years when my car is paid off, the FR-S may just stay the fun car. Although a 2ZZ swapped MR-S is a strong contender.

It looks budget-Boxster as is to the average observer, so discount Carrera GT would be an improvement!

Yeah, I wouldn’t replace the FR-S with an MR-S either in your situation. I’m lucky to be able to take the train to work, and use my mom’s GTI for the bigger stuff, as the MR-S is as practical as the ocean is shallow.
People have found ways around it though...

Yeah, I’m hopefully changing the commute situation before too long. If my fiance’s next car is more practical then I might be able to get away with that too. haha We shall just have to wait and see...

This car does not belong in ES for SCCA autox. Ludicrous fast!
